Sports Program Coordinator (8 Week Contract Position)

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Unionville Milliken Soccer Club is one of the Elite clubs at the competitive level in Ontario. We

have a number of teams playing at the highest level in the OPDL league. The Ontario Player

Development League (OPDL) Launched in 2014. The OPDL is one of the province's first standards based, youth high performance league that combines top level competition with strict high performance training standards. As such the OPDL has a number of very strict rules and regulations around the holding of matches in the league. There are administrative and field related activities associated with the scheduling and running of games, in compliance with OPDL rules and regulations.

The Sports Manager role is ideally suited to students in sports management or related courses. The role will entail:

- Match day coordination with on field Ontario Soccer officials

- Coordination with Club administrators, volunteers, OPDL team officials, Technical Directors for Home Game match day

- Provide administrative Support to Club OPDL team managers, Technical Director, Program Directors in delivery of OPDL program

- Ensure Club meets OPDL compliance for match day

- Assist in Match Day setup for Home Games

- Office and Outdoor Soccer fields work environment

- Weekday and weekend hours required

 Students enrolled in sports management, sports coaching, kinesiology, physical fitness or similar courses will benefit from this job. The job will provide on-the-job hands on experience in learning and providing training to participants in a variety of age groups and skill levels. It will provide opportunity for the students to learn from professionals with many years of experience.
