4-4-2, 3-4-3 or 3-5-2?
In the game of soccer, a variety of formations,
with variations within each formation, are used. Which is best?
There is no correct answer to this question.
Depending on the player personnel and playing style of the team, a particular formation may serve best.
Formations may often be modified during the game depending on the needs of the team and the pace of
the game.
The below documents explain a variety of formations,
summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Determining Match Performance
So many times, coaches leave the field wondering,
"Why did the team play like this tonight?" Now, this could be a good thing, or a bad thing...either way,
it's a question that needs to be answered.

O Jogo Bonito...Soccer School Style
For those coaches, players and parents who are
looking for new ways to improve the technical part of "the beautiful game", check out some of the
drills being performed at UMSC's Soccer School.
These drills focus on the soft, quick touch
side of soccer. The 3 v 3 practice system is ideal for all age groups as it demands players to
remain an active part of the play by enforcing the "short ball", ultimately removing the "long ball"
from the game.
